CRITERIA - NATIONAL COMPONENT HUMAN RIGHTS ANNUAL AWARD
- The person nominated shall be a member or former member of the National Component and must have shown extraordinary conduct in promoting human rights for all.
- Nominations shall be made by the Executive of a Local, the National Executive of the National Component or the Human Rights Committee of the National Component.
- Nominations should be on the appropriate application form and shall be submitted to the National Component no later than November 30th each year.
- All applications for a Human Rights Award shall be referred to the National Component Human Rights Committee. This Committee shall review all applications and make recommendations to the National Executive. (05/04)
- All decisions on the awarding of the Human Rights Award shall require a two-thirds majority of the National Executive, voting by secret ballot at the first regular Executive meeting of the following year.
- Presentation of the award shall be made by the President of the National Component (or designated representative).
- No more than one award shall be presented per year.
- The award shall consist of a suitably framed achievement award certificate.
- No individual shall be the recipient of the award more than once.
- After the presentation of the award a picture and a brief write-up shall be inserted in the next issue of the Component Newsletter and shall be provided to the publication Alliance.
