The National Component is composed of ten separate Regions. Each Region has an elected Regional Vice-President and Assistant Regional Vice-President.
Each of the regions has a different number of locals as determined by the overall membership within a region, by geography, by departments, by agencies, by country.
Regions perform a number of key representational functions for the membership. While structurally there are similarities, as one travels to the regions and meets and works with members and representatives within each region, the differences and requirements of each region become quite pronounced.
